How do I know what to order for my car?
It’s very simple. Use the Select Your Model tool on our website. You’ll be automatically redirected to the correct kit for your car. We supply every model and type. Still unsure? Just contact us and we’ll check it for you.
I have a facelift model but the original holder is missing. How do I mount my screen?
Without the original phone holder the screen cannot be mounted. You can easily order this original holder together with your screen on the website if you don’t have it anymore.
Are the UpYourCarPlay screens plug and play?
Yes, UpYourCarPlay supplies plug-and-play units for every model. For facelift models (with phone holder / USB connection) installation takes less than 5 minutes and requires no modifications.
For pre-facelift & old models (without Garmin / navigon connection) we offer full plug-and-play units as well. For pre-facelift with Garmin / navigon connection an installation kit is required. The installation is still plug and play but takes a bit longer – around 45 minutes.
For these installation kits we provide a detailed video guide so you can install it anywhere in the world.
Can I pick up my screen and/or have it installed?
Yes. Before ordering, click on Contact UpYourCarPlay to arrange pickup or professional installation. We are located in Grootebroek (The Netherlands).
Installation by UpYourCarPlay (Netherlands)
If you find the installation too difficult, we can do it for you in the Netherlands. Most Dutch customers choose this option, because during installation we can also make the audio fully wireless, which is preferred. We install this model several times a week. Contact us for pricing and to schedule an installation appointment.
Is the UpYourCarPlay screen wireless?
Yes, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly.
How does the sound from the UpYourCarPlay screen go to the radio?
This depends on your model. For facelift models with Bluetooth you set the radio to Media and connect to the Bluetooth of the original radio. This is a one-time pairing; after that it connects automatically.
For facelift without Bluetooth or pre-facelift (original radio) you set the radio to AUX and plug in the 90° AUX cable that comes from the screen. After that it will switch automatically.
For pre-facelift with an aftermarket radio you set the radio to AUX and connect via the Bluetooth of that radio. You can book an appointment with us for a fully wireless audio solution.
How do I listen to the radio when my screen is connected via Bluetooth or AUX?
On facelift models with Bluetooth, the audio from the UpYourCarPlay screen is sent to the original radio through the Media/Bluetooth connection.
On models without Bluetooth, the audio is played through the AUX input using the included AUX cable.
We recommend using the TuneIn Radio app. This allows you to listen to all radio stations — similar to DAB — directly on the UpYourCarPlay screen. The audio will then play through your car's speakers via Bluetooth or AUX, depending on your model.

Will my steering wheel controls still work?
On facelift models with Bluetooth the original steering wheel buttons keep working. On pre-facelift and facelift without Bluetooth only the volume buttons remain active, because the audio is sent through the AUX connection.
Will my original parking sensors and camera still work?
On facelift models they keep working as normal. On pre-facelift models the beeps remain audible, but the image will no longer be shown on the Garmin or navigon screen.

Do I need to use a specific SD card to record dashcam footage with my UpYourCarPlay screen?
Yes, it is important to use a compatible SD card recommended for your UpYourCarPlay screen. Using an incorrect SD card can cause the screen to repeatedly restart and may damage the device. If this occurs, we can read the device to determine the issue, but the warranty will be void. We therefore recommend ordering the SD card together with your UpYourCarPlay screen to ensure proper dashcam recording and avoid potential damage.
Do I have to remove the SD card to view the footage?
No, you can view the footage directly on the screen. If you want to save it in higher quality or watch it on your computer, you can remove the SD card and insert it into your computer or laptop.
How does the built-in dashcam work?
The UpYourCarPlay screens come with an integrated dashcam that automatically starts recording as soon as the screen powers on. You only need a compatible microSD card (up to 128 GB) for this.
Always use a recommended SD card, as using an incorrect card may cause the screen to restart repeatedly or even damage the device. We therefore recommend ordering the SD card together with your screen.
The screen allows you to choose whether to record audio and to set the recording interval, with options of 1, 2, or 5 minutes per video.
Recordings can be locked and saved on the SD card. If you want to keep a specific clip, you can easily move it to a separate folder on the screen via the dashcam options. This gives you quick access to important footage.
All recordings can be viewed directly on the screen. For higher quality or to watch on your computer, you can simply remove the SD card and insert it into your laptop or PC.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, you receive a 1-year warranty via UpYourCarPlay.
